Off for a couple of days


Hey guys…

My computer has all but died so it’s going in the shop as soon as I get this posted… should be back on Thursday or Friday. I’m getting more RAM plus the guy said it probably has a bunch of invaders on here. BUT… he said it would be like a new computer when I get it back! Yeehaa!!

I’ll stay on track, no worry there. Kicking booty and eating clean as a whistle. No way I will let my team down (or me!).

Slim in 6 is killer!

It would probably be a piece of cake for most of you but I’m a limp noodle right now. Funny thing is, I’ve been working my arms for about two weeks now and can tell they’re stronger. We have one of these work stations and I’ve been working on what she’s doing, plus pull ups. At this point, I can’t do either but I AM getting stronger. That doesn’t help with all the arm work on the Slim in 6 though. You have to have them in the air a lot and they feel like they weigh 4 tons! Not to mention my legs! I’ll get there though… that’s the whole point, eh?

This is the first time in my life that I have pushed myself like this and it feels so good to see progress!

Well, it’s a new week and Wildcat captain Cindy challenged us to take it up a notch. So, here’s my plan for this week…

Plan for week Oct 21:

    *No more than 27 points per day (average)
    *Do a minimum of 11,000 steps per day (average).
    *Bump intense sessions up to 40 sec - 10x day (up from 30 sec)
    *Cut back on salt… a bit (tough!)
    *Drink 75+ oz water per day.
    *Slim in 6 - 10-20 min a day.
    *Support rocking WILDCATS and fellow buddyslimmers.
    *Lose weight!!

Thumbs up on the plan!

I can see room for some tweaking but I def can’t complain. I was satisfied all week, not hungry, felt great and lost 5 pounds. (The not hungry part is probably the best!!) Once I got the junk out of my system, I had no cravings or obsessive thoughts about food for the first time in who knows when? Somebody high five me quick!! lol!

So, for the week, I averaged 32 points (roughly 1600 calories) and 12,459 steps.

Ok, this is just the start. It won’t amount to a hill of beans if I don’t continue. That, of course, is always the challenge. But I’m hopeful. More hopeful than I’ve been in a long time. I’ve seen these ladies & gents on here work hard and achieve their goals and I know it’s possible for me too. (And you… my buds who are losing!)

But I want to say… had it not been for this site & the awesome Wildcat team, I would have never done this well. Thank you Wildcats for all the inspiration, motivation & butt-kicking!! I love you guys!!

And oh… no small little detail here … the Wildcats lost 32 pounds!! Wooooooooooo!

Skinny butt here we come!!

Yeeeee haaaa!!!

Had a butt-kicking Wildcat day today! Faced a gazillion temptations… but did I cheat? Not nary nibble.

I love my Wildcats and nosirree Jimmy… no junk on these lips… no excuses.

Well, tomorrow is weigh in and I’ll have my first glimpse of how this plan-o-mine has paid off. Here’s a little secret… don’t tell anybody now. At one point, I was 70+ pounds heavier than my dh. I won’t be sure till in the morning but I think I have it trimmed down to about 7 pounds!

I keep trying to do these journals too late when my brain has already gone to bed. So for today, a quickie!

Stayed right on target with the challenges… Yea! and feel a nice loss coming on… GO WILDCATS!!

Thank you so much everyone for all the kind notes and boosters. I really had almost given up hope that I could get my rear back in gear. But thanks to all the wonderful support and inspiration here, I feel confident for the first time in weeks! Speaking of inspiration, check out the inspiration page and plan page I put up!!

Clothes shopping sucks when you’re overweight.

You all know what I’m talking about, right? The clothes are gross to start with and then they fit all wrong. Who are these models? Why doesn’t the clothes industry try harder to meet the needs of the majority of the nation?

Ok, rant over. Today I shopped for the first time in a long time. At first I was trying on sizes 22 & 24 because that’s where I thought I still was. It was so depressing. Uglymcfugly stuff. Then I saw a really cute top in a size 16-18… no other size. Just on a lark I tried it on and it FIT! So, then I kept trying on smaller sizes and they fit! Maybe it was just the store because I’m still 250+ pounds, ya know. (But I am tall.) Still, it felt so good to finally be moving down in sizes. So good that I’ll be daggone if I’m going to screw this up. Nope, I’m amping this thing up a notch!!! I want cute clothes in small sizes on a small body. And the only way I’m going to have this is to keep doing what I’m doing. Kick some butt and eat right. Day after day. And it will pay off! IT WILL COME!

Extra incentive!

I became a member of the Wildcat team today! Go Cats! It’s one thing when you’re doing this just for yourself but when you have a team counting on you… wow, that takes it to a whole new level!

Had another good day. Lean meats, fruits, veggies & lots of exercise! I gave myself some challenges with the team for the week…

My plan for the week:

  • No more than 28 points per day every day the rest of this this week.
  • Do a minimum of 10,000 steps per day
  • Drink 70+ oz water per day.
  • Start Slim in 6 whenever it comes in.
  • Support teammates and fellow buddyslimmers.
  • Hopefully lose 5-6 pounds this week.


Slim in 6 is an hour of cardio & weights 6 days a week for 6 weeks. Some say it will kick your butt into next week. Some say it’s easy. If it will kick anybody’s butt, it will surely kick mine.

My steps are from walking, dancing, biking & trying some running. I try to break a sweat at least twice a day. And that’s good for me… momma not like to sweat!

Well, that wasn’t so bad

I really thought after a weekend of high points… ok, 3 months of high points… today would be terribly hard! But thanks to wonderful veggies, I was satisfied all day and ate plenty! I guess it’s just a matter of re-focusing… 1 small bag of chips vs 6 cups of steamed broccoli, kinda thing.

I’ve been on the hunt for recipes to keep those veggies interesting and have come up with quite a few. I’m actually pretty happy with simple stuff… but I do want to get a small collection together… just in case. :)
